Sneak Peek - Holiday Style

Take a behind the scenes look as we prepare to decorate for Christmas

fall decor

While it may look like Fall outside, The Guest House team is hard at work inside the McCreery Conference and Event Center, preparing to transform The Guest House Inn B&B’s and part of downtown Hinton into a winter wonderland.

Getting ready for the holiday displays is no small feat. The process of decorating for Christmas spans just over three weeks. It takes a dedicated team three days just to retrieve the Christmas trees and decorations from storage. This labor of love shows the commitment of the Guest House staff in ensuring that every corner of the property exudes a festive spirit.

After making shaping the Christmas trees and checking the lights and ornaments, the decorating can begin. We provide trees and decorations to Otter & Oak, The Market, and PracticeLink. In addition, we decorate each B&B – the Parker, the Townhouse, and The Timberlake – for the holidays. The goal is to create a welcoming entryway that beckons guests into a festive home away from home. Outdoor spaces at PracticeLink and the plaza across from the McCreery are also bedecked with holiday splendor, adding a touch of seasonal magic to the entire area.

One of the eagerly anticipated highlights is the display in the McCreery windows! Drawing inspiration from the charm of vintage department store window exhibits, each window showcases a different holiday theme from a Woodland Winter to Santa’s Workshop. We also have several trees throughtout that space to make a holiday winter wonderland for upcoming holiday parties and weddings.

The decorations are not just for the guests, but for the entire community to enjoy. So, while the colorful Fall leaves are still on the trees, inside The Guest House, the spirit of Christmas is alive and well, thanks to the dedicated staff who pour their hearts into creating an enchanting experience for all who visit.
